We welcome your questions and comments.  Please note, Shelter Dogs is NOT the Animal Shelter; we take pictures and maintain the website, but we cannot give you further information about the dogs.  Please contact or visit the shelter for this information.  For more information please call (916) 808.7387.

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please visit the shelter in person. There is nothing like 15 to 30 minutes spent with one of the dogs to help you get to know that dog.  You may also ask a volunteer or staff person about the dog.
